Larin Lomat was born out of a love for nature, travel and good service. We are a family business that has been offering accommodation on the shores of Lake Pielinen for over two decades. For us, cottage accommodation is not just a business, but a way of life – a way of sharing the peace of nature and North Karelian hospitality with each of our guests.

The story of the company began when we wanted to create a place where people could stop and find a connection with nature – without rushing, without noise. Today, our five well-equipped cottages offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy their holiday in their own way: in silence, surrounded by nature and by the water.

A job done with heart

We, Helena and Janne, take care of everything ourselves – the maintenance of the cottages, cleanliness and the comfort of our guests. When you book a cottage at Larin Lomat, you know that you will always be greeted with a warm welcome and genuine care. The most important thing for us is that every guest feels welcome and can go home rested and in a good mood.

Customer feedback often emphasizes that it is easy to relax at Larin Lomat – “like coming to visit friends in the country”. That's exactly what we want to offer: personalized service, a relaxed atmosphere and genuine presence.

Nature, peace and quality meet

All of our cottages are located in stunning lakeside settings on the shores of Lake Pielinen. Each one has been carefully built and equipped to make your holiday as comfortable as possible. High-quality equipment, spacious interiors, private saunas and barbecue huts create the setting for a successful holiday – regardless of the season.

Although the cottages are modern and well-equipped, the atmosphere is still authentic and traditional: the steam baths in the lakeside sauna, the warmth of the fireplace and the sounds of nature carried by the lake make every moment special.

We are proud of our roots and the fact that we can maintain a family business here in the midst of the beautiful landscapes of Koli. We invest in locality, cleanliness and responsible tourism. Our cottages are heated with energy efficiency, waste is sorted and nature is respected in all activities.
